ack in the swing of things, it seems. I picked up the fourth season of ST:TNG on DVD this morning, and I also watched The Piano... reviews of both are up on my DVD Review. This weather really, really sucks. It's so hot and muggy. Of course, It's not as hot and muggy as many other parts of the world but hey, I'm used to perfect weather every day here in San Diego and this weather sucks compared to that, for sure haha.
Some people from some... less pleasant climates... would call San Diego weather "boring" for being perfect every day... well if that's boring, I'd like to have boring back, please! Hmm. Not much else going on, I think I'll just watch some TNG now. Sorry for the short update.

mazing, how fast time flies. It's already ASR again -- the Action Sports Retailers Expo (or something like that), but as you may notice by looking at updates from Septembers past, this is the time of year that thousands of people related to rollerblading, skateboard, snowboarding and surfing congregate at the San Diego Convention Center to peddle their wares to the shops that sell their stuff. There's tons of pro riders, models, etc. etc. etc.
Anyway, even though I hardly rollerblade anymore, I still like to go down there and hang out and meet with old friends, and well, this afternoon my friend Lawrence, owner of Fifty-50 called me up and said there was a video premiere going on at the Hyatt downtown, with an open bar... I'm there dude! The video was edited by another old friend of mine, Jan Welch, so it was a pretty big day for him.
Anyway. Got some drinks, watched the cool video and afterwards some person that knew someone I knew was gonna hook a bunch of us up to get into this party (with open bar of course) thrown by 55DSL. We crammed into a car and all got there and this girl made a phone call and out someone popped with enough VIP passes for all of us. Unfortunately, we needed more than VIP passes to get in, as the place was already packed to full capacity and there were a few hundred people outside still trying to get in that were not being let in, especially since the cops and fire marshall were already there making sure no one else went inside.
Despite the plethora of hot chicks everywhere, after about 20 minutes, it just didn't seem worth it to try to get inside there, as every time the door opened and someone left, we'd get hit by a blast of nasty, hot, moist air... it didn't seem like it was really all that pleasant in there so... a few of us headed back to the Hyatt back to the original event and drank and hung out some more. And it was fun seeing old friends from all over the country that really I only see this one time of the year.
Sorry, no pics or anything cuz, as you may recall, my camera is broken. *sigh*. But at least there'll be some other stuff going on for the rest of the weekend. Oh, and finally, today I moved some stuff around, and moved brybry.areyoutheone.com and also the casino diaries to the same machine that is hosting the turtlecam images. Meaning that now the Casino Diaries are up 24 hours a day, at the new address, casinodiaries.areyoutheone.com. Of course, I know I haven't updated it lately (and actually I still haven't updated it since the August trip), and I may not even update it for a while, but in case you casino diaries members wanted to look at some old stuff... now you can do it any time you want.
