The Movie: I'm not exactly sure why this film met with such acclaim, to me this film just seemed kind of long. Maybe the great revelation just didn't hit me hard enough or something, but personally, I didn't much care for this film.

I didn't think it was bad but it didn't really draw me in. I just didn't get the sense of how great this man was t be able to feel a great loss when he basically lost everything. Maybe I just wasn't in the right frame of mind for this film or something. So yeah. A Beautiful Mind gets a "just OK" from me.

The DVD: The video transfer showed a bit of dust and other debris on the image from time to time, but for the most part it was a good picture with great color and clarity. The audio proved to be clean but nothing particularly special.

Special features include tons of deleted scenes and a bunch of other stuff on the second disc that I didn't get from Netflix. If you're a big fan of the film, well, I guess you won't be disappointed by the extras. If you're not a big fan of the film, well, I guess it won't make any difference to you whether this stuff is there or not, haha.
